Cancellation Policies for Massage and Coaching Appointments
Important: Any appointment canceled, modified, or rescheduled with less than 24 hours notice will be charged the full (or half) appointment cost (to the credit card on file).
KAINETICS© has a strict 24 hour cancellation policy that requires all of our clients to pay for the time they reserve on our schedule. By providing your credit card information you are confirming that you are aware and agreeable to this policy. In order to remain fair, we enforce this policy consistently with all of our clients, regardless of if they are brand new to our services or longtime regulars.
That said, we do allow exceptions for illness, loved one’s death, and life and death emergencies. In some cases, we may ask for documentation, such as a doctor’s note, to avoid the entire fee.
However, personal emergencies such as babysitter’s cancellation, last minute work obligations, and transportation issues are still subject to the cancellation charge.
When a client cancels with less than 24 hours’ notice it is often difficult to fill their vacated spot with a different client. This directly impacts your therapist’s income and KAINETICS©’s ability to cover our standard business operating expenses. The reality is that a business that relies on appointments cannot stay afloat if clients do not pay for the time they reserve.
Cancellation Policy for experiencing illness
If you are feeling ill or have a fever:
You must reschedule your appointment, and may do so without full penalty on the day of your scheduled appointment. If anyone in your immediate family is ill, has a fever, or has tested positive for COVID, you must inform KAINETICS© and reschedule your appointment. We work with immune suppressed clients, so please consider their safety as well as your therapist.
For all other cancellations or rescheduling:
KAINETICS© requires 24 hour advance notice of cancellation or rescheduling.
Standing appointment cancellations and rescheduling policy:
For those clients with standing appointments, two or more consecutively missed or rescheduled standing appointments will result in the forfeiture of your standing appointment.
Sessions are not transferable:
If you need to cancel, you may not give your appointment to a friend or family member without prior approval from KAINETICS©. We maintain a waitlist, so giving your session to another if you’re unable to use it deprives a fellow client of an opportunity for an appointment and needed therapeutic work.

Reschedule your appointment if you have a fever or any COVID-19 or cold/flu-like symptoms.
If you have been exposed to anyone with COVID symptoms or a positive diagnosis, you must reschedule. After known exposure, you may be asked to produce a negative rapid or PCR test before treatment at CHM.
